Little Me thanks you for tending to your kids. For nurturing them. For fostering their strengths and incredible minds. I hope they always think you’re awesome and are grateful.
How beautiful to get this note today- ☺️ . It is very hard to go against the grain of society that tells us to be in control, push them harder and force them into compliance. Raising kids today- especially our sensitive, neurodiverse ones- is a battle that takes a warrior mom and I am grateful to have been given the challenge (even if the kids aren’t always grateful 😂). I hope I can help other moms fight for their kids against social conditioning so less adults have to cry themselves to sleep. Bless you for taking care of your little self now. He’s grateful and appreciates all the work you are doing to help heal him. 🙏🏻
Thank you. Soooo much. And I love stability (even if not routine or ritual). The coincidence is how meticulously I plan when I have a change to make. Took me a year of research and simply practicing patience (my wife asked me to hold off, look at several programs, and see how I felt about my first career) before starting my Master’s program.
And then, it took me exactly 10 years, coincidentally *to the day* to leave W2 employment completely.
Untethered and with vast amounts of trepidation.
Most everything I do completely with my mind is easy. Most everything I do that involves other people or coordinating time and focus in my day? More challenging.
And I *hope* to be hiring other psychotherapists by January, if not March 7th. 12 years after graduation.
For me, I guess it’s not the logic and logistical challenges. It’s the 48 ducks I have to get in a row to begin with.
Not usually. Usually my keys are in my car in the garage, or on the end table. Or the dining table or in the slot next to the garage door. But sometimes in my bedroom closet on the shelf.
My phone is usually on my desk or the end table.
My AirPods kept running away, so I got a case for an AirTag. The new ones are trackable without an actual AirTag. But the Find My gets more use in my house than anywhere else. Lol.

Little Me cries himself to sleep far too often.

And half of them have wandered off.
Those darn ducks! 🦆 always complicating things!
I have ADHD. Me. I’m one of the ducks. 🦆 have you seen my keys and my cell phone?
lol yah - if like me- they are probably in your pocket.
